Eagle Claw® Rod & Reel Warranty & Repair Information

Eagle Claw warrants the original purchaser that its rods and reels are free from defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. If the rod or reel fails to perform, return your complete rod or reel to:

Please follow these instructions when returning your rod or reel:

Send complete rod or reel back to us (Pre-paid Shipping)

Enclose proof of purchase date and specify reason for return

Please list the model name and number of your rod or reel

Include your name, return address and daytime phone number

To protect your rod or reel against loss or further damage in transit, please carefully package and insure the shipment. Please keep all shipping receipts.

Use a shipping company that can track your package.

If your rod or reel is proven defective (at the discretion of Eagle Claw), it will be repaired free of charge within a reasonable time; however, if it cannot be repaired, Eagle Claw will replace it per the following:

If the rod or reel is no longer in stock, Eagle Claw will replace it with a similar model.

If, in our opinion, the damage is due to other causes, Eagle Claw will send you an invoice for the repair charges before repair.

Non-Warranty Procedures
Eagle Claw rods and reels that are no longer covered by this warranty can be repaired for a reasonable charge by the Eagle Claw Repair Center. If the rod or reel cannot be repaired, it can be replaced for 50% off the suggested retail price of a new one. The new rod or reel will be the same make and model unless out of stock, in which case a similar model will be substituted.

An invoice will be sent with the charges and, once payment is received, the rod or reel will be returned to you. You can pay by VISA or MasterCard over the phone or by sending a check or money order. Please follow these steps when sending your rod or reel to us for non-warranty repairs:

Reasons for Non-Warranty Rods and Reels
An Eagle Claw rod and reel will no longer be covered by this warranty should any of the following apply:

Malfunctions or damage due to abuse or mis-use, accidental breakage, normal wear In need of cleaning and/or relubrication due to owner’s failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance, malfunctions caused by inadequate repair and/or alterations NOT performed by the Eagle Claw Repair Center.

This warranty is the only warranty, expressed or implied, applicable to any Eagle Claw rod or reel. Wright & McGill Co. (manufacturer’s of Eagle Claw rods and reels) neither assumes nor authorizes any other person or entity to assume for it any obligation or liability in connection with the Eagle Claw rod or reel.

Remedies available under this warranty are limited to the express terms of this warranty, and any consequential damages which may result from the breach of this warranty (expressed or implied), are hereby excluded. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. Only Wright & McGill Co. can make any warranty adjustments.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Trailmaster Rods Only
Eagle Claw Trailmaster rod warranty covers the original owner with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. The original receipt is required to verify purchase date. Eagle Claw cannot honor the warranty without original proof of purchase.

If the rod fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, Eagle Claw will repair or replace it and return it as quickly as possible. Simply return the rod with your original receipt directly to:

To complete the repairs we must have the entire rod including the broken parts. Ship them freight prepaid and insured for the original purchase price, a copy of the original purchase receipt is required. If the rod being repaired is past the one year free replacement period, include a check or money order for $20.00 to cover the cost of return shipping and handling. (International customers will be charged actual shipping and insurance costs, and are responsible for all related customs and duty charges.) Be sure to include your name, address, daytime phone number with area code and a short note describing the problem.

If our technicians determine the defect is due to normal wear and tear, accident, neglect or misuse, the rod can still be repaired or replaced at a reasonable cost. You will be contacted and a full estimate will be provided prior to any work being done. We will make every attempt to get you back on the water as quickly as possible.

This warranty is limited to repair and replacement of the rod only and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damages resulting from the use of this product. This warranty does not cover fire, theft, loss, intentional breakage, modification or customization of the finished rod. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply. This warranty provides specific legal rights, other rights that vary from state to state.

The warranty is not transferable and is only good to the original owner.
